Five straight championships. Eight overall. And a hard-fought ticket to the NCAA tournament.
The No. 15 Wentworth men's volleyball team proved their resilience on Saturday afternoon, outlasting No. 14 Lasell in a five-set thriller to bring home yet another Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.
In a match that pushed both teams to the limit, the Leopards secured the crown behind an incredible performance from Benjamin Moughon, who was named GNAC Tournament MVP after driving the offense with 14 kills. Teammates Brayden Green and Conner Foxwell also earned well-deserved spots on the GNAC All-Tournament Team for their standout play on the court.
With the victory, Wentworth secures an automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA tournament and awaits the announcement of their first-round opponent in the coming days.
