Traffic #ALERT: Pedestrian Struck Hit and Run Crash Investigation Underway in Wilkes Neighborhood

A traffic crash investigation is underway in the Wilkes Neighborhood involving a potential hit-and-run to a pedestrian.

On Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:12 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of a person down in the street in the 14900 block of Northeast Siskiyou Court. Officers and EMS arrived and paramedics determined that the person, who appears to be an adult male, was deceased at the scene.

Preliminary evidence suggests that he was hit by a vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, Northeast 148th Avenue is closed between Northeast Fremont Street and Northeast Siskiyou Court.
