For the second year in a row, the D.C. Bar has been named a Washington, D.C., Top Workplace, an honor bestowed upon organizations in the D.C. metropolitan area for their leadership in workplace engagement and employee satisfaction in 2026.

The award is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential survey administered by Energage, an employee engagement technology company, in partnership with WTOP News. The survey, conducted in November, measures several aspects of workplace culture, including leadership, communication, workplace experience, employee appreciation, and opportunities for growth.

D.C. Bar CEO Robert Spagnoletti said more than 125 employees participated in the survey, earning the Bar recognition among midsize organizations with 50 to 149 employees for its commitment to creating a collaborative work environment where employees feel connected to the organization's goals.

"Being recognized as a Top Workplace is a significant achievement," said Spagnoletti. "It reflects the culture we have built together, strengthens the Bar's reputation in the community, and helps us attract and retain talented colleagues. Most importantly, it affirms that the D.C. Bar is a place where people feel valued, supported, and connected to our mission."

As the largest unified bar in the United States, the D.C. Bar serves more nearly 124,000 members through programs, services, and resources designed to support the legal profession and the public. The Top Workplace recognition highlights the Bar's ongoing efforts to cultivate a work environment that supports employee well-being, professional development, and organizational success.
