Greenberg Traurig’s Jaret L. Davis, Tracy L. Gerber, and Fred E. Karlinsky Recognized in Florida Trend’s Florida 500

MIAMI - Oct. 31, 2025 - Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Shareholders Jaret L. Davis, Tracy L. Gerber, and Fred E. Karlinsky are recognized in Florida Trend's eighth annual "Florida 500" issue.

Florida Trend's "Florida 500" list recognizes Florida's most influential business leaders across more than 60 business categories. Davis, Gerber, and Karlinsky are among a select group of attorneys featured in the Law section. The publication also recognizes Greenberg Traurig's Cesar L. Alvarez and Matthew B. Gorson, both senior chairmen at the firm, on its list of "Living Legends."

Davis is senior vice president of Greenberg Traurig and co-managing shareholder of the Miami office. He focuses his practice on structuring and negotiating domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital raising transactions, and large financings. He routinely provides representation to publicly traded clients with an aggregate market capitalization of over $100 billion as well as several of Miami's largest "unicorn" companies. Davis is co-founder and general counsel of eMerge Americas and currently serves as vice chairman of Nicklaus Children's Health System. He also serves as a member of the board of trustees of the University of Miami, the board of directors of the Miami Foundation, and the board of directors of City National Bank of Florida, and he formerly chaired the Miami-Dade Beacon Council from 2016-2017. Davis is also a founding member, director, and officer of the Partnership for Miami, a new nonprofit committed to advancing Miami's long-term growth and success.

Gerber is co-managing shareholder of the West Palm Beach office, co-chair of the firm's Broker-Dealer Securities Litigation Practice, and a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice. She also serves on the executive committee of the 700+ attorney Global Litigation Practice Group. She regularly defends major Wall Street brokerage firms, registered investment advisers, and other financial institutions in a wide variety of employment disputes in arbitration, before administrative agencies, and in state and federal courts nationwide. In 2024, PayPal presented Gerber with its Legal Leaders Award. She has served on the faculty of the prestigious Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School for more than 12 years. With her leadership, the West Palm Beach office won the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society's 2024 And Justice for All Award for pro bono work.

Karlinsky, a shareholder in the firm's Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, and Washington, D.C., offices, chairs Greenberg Traurig's Global Insurance Regulatory & Transactions Practice. With over 30 years of experience, Karlinsky represents insurance companies, reinsurers, and a wide array of related entities on regulatory, transactional, corporate, and governmental affairs matters. He is a recognized authority on insurance regulatory and compliance issues and regularly leads insurers' corporate and M&A transactions. Since 2008, he has served as an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law, where he chairs the board of visitors, and was appointed to the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission in 2014. He serves as president of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society's board of trustees, vice chair of the World Trade Center Miami, audit chair on Leadership Florida's board of directors, Orange Bowl Committee member, and the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship Host Committee board member.
