First Mid Ag Services Announces Regional Manager Promotions for Reid Lichty and Eric Schumacher

Bloomington, IL (May 4, 2026) First Mid Ag Services, a division of First Mid Wealth Management, announced the promotions of Reid Lichty and Eric Schumacher to Regional Manager roles, strengthening leadership across its Bloomington and Mattoon, IL offices.

Reid Lichty has been promoted to Regional Manager in Bloomington. A native of rural McLean County, he brings a lifelong passion for agriculture to his new leadership role. He joined First Mid in 2024 as a Farm Manager, leveraging an extensive background in agricultural retail and seed production.

Lichty is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), an Illinois licensed real estate broker, and is currently pursuing his Accredited Farm Manager designation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with an emphasis in Agricultural Business from Western Illinois University.

Eric Schumacher has been promoted to Regional Manager in Mattoon. A native of Sigel, IL, he was raised on a small dairy and grain farm and brings deep industry experience to his role. He joined First Mid in 2016 as a Farm Manager.

In addition to managing farms, Schumacher is an Illinois licensed real estate broker and a licensed associate real estate trainee appraiser, specializing in farmland appraisals. He earned his bachelor's degree in Agricultural & Consumer Economics with a concentration in Farm Management, along with a minor in Crop and Soil Management, from the University of Illinois. He received his Accredited Farm Manager designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers in 2022.
