Director-General of European Affairs Department attends the Bled Strategic Forum in Bled, Slovenia

On 1 - 2 September 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, attended the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) in Bled, Republic of Slovenia, which coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the forum.

The Director-General attended the Opening Ceremony and took part as a panelist in the session on "Sustaining Peace in a Shifting Global Order" where she exchanged views with fellow panelists from Qatar, Korea, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, and Germany on ways to advance peace and stability in the context of a rapidly changing global environment. The Director-General highlighted Thailand's constructive role in the international community, with a strong commitment to rules-based multilateralism and ASEAN centrality. Despite the situation along the Thai - Cambodian border, Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the issue through peaceful means and constructive dialogue, making full use of existing mechanisms and international law.

In addition, the Director-General emphasized Thailand's proactive economic diplomacy, which plays an important role in promoting peace and sustainable development, as well as Thailand's strategic equilibrium approach in engaging with major powers as a contributing factor to the region, which in turn positively impacts global stability.
