Honda Marine to Sponsor Homer HarborFest 2025

June 3, 2025 - ALPHARETTA, GA

Honda Marine kicks off the summertime boating season as one of the presenting sponsors of the 2025 Homer HarborFest: A Celebration of Boats, Music, Food, and Art. This all-day, inaugural event will take place oceanside on June 7, 2025, at the Deep Water Dock and Spit in Homer, Alaska, and will showcase a wide variety of boats, marine products, live music, local vendors, and interactive activities for families, professionals, and outdoor adventurers.

Honda Marine, a division of Honda Power Sports & Products, markets a complete range of marine outboard motors, a comprehensive product line powered exclusively by four-stroke engines. Honda Marine joins additional presenting sponsors-Bay Weld Boats and the Homer Marine Trades Association (HMTA)-to celebrate the Homer community and its rich maritime culture.

At Homer HarborFest, the Honda Marine team looks forward to spotlighting high-power outboards on a variety of boats. These models include the Honda BF350, the first production Honda V8 engine available commercially, offering exceptional speed and fuel efficiency, exhilarating acceleration, quiet operation and unparalleled performance for extraordinary boating experiences; and the Honda BF250 V6:

  • 3225GFX Kingfisher, provided by Alaska Mining and Diving Supply, powered by twin Honda BF350s
  • 33-ft. fiberglass offshore cruiser, custom-built by Full Throttle Marine, provided by All-Seasons Honda, powered by twin Honda BF350s
  • 52-ft. Landing Craft, built by ATEC Marine, powered by three Honda BF250s

"We're proud to support the Homer, Alaska community. Our sponsorship of the first-ever HarborFest aligns perfectly with the Honda Marine mission to inspire boaters to answer the call of adventure and feel the thrill of the open water, all driven by exceptional performance and reliability of Honda Marine outboards," said Daniel Sherlock, Director, Honda Marine Division. "In keeping with the Homer commitment to preserve the natural beauty of Kachemak Bay and foster a sustainable environment for future generations, the Honda Marine outboard lineup, including the BF350, signals the steadfast commitment at Honda Marine to develop new products and invest in further efforts to address environmental issues by utilizing unique Honda technology to deliver fuel efficiency and longer life for more time on the water."

Eivin Kilcher, a third-generation Alaskan homesteader and Discovery Channel personality (Alaska: The Last Frontier), is scheduled to attend Homer HarborFest 2025. Kilcher comes to the event already well acquainted with the premium power the Honda BF350 offers, having recently upgraded his family's boat-the Farenorth Rose, a 32-foot Landing Craft, built in Homer by Bay Weld Boats-and repowering it with a pair of Honda BF350 outboards. The Farenorth Rose also will be on display at Homer HarborFest 2025.

"It's mind boggling how much quieter and so much smoother it is (inside the cabin) with these BF350s than with my old motors. It's more than 50 percent quieter throughout the entire power band, and there's no vibration happening inside the wheelhouse," Kilcher recently explained during the latest segment on his YouTube channel, Eivin Kilcher Homestead, when he took the Farenorth Rose out for the break-in period with the new Honda Marine BF350 engines.

Tickets are available now at HomerHarborFest.com and include full access to all music performances, vendor booths, marine displays, and live art showcases.
