Chandler, Ariz. - Chandler Councilmember OD Harris has been reappointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee. He was elected to a one-year term to provide strategic direction and guidance for the committee's federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities.

"Chandler's quality of life and economic development have been enhanced by long-range planning and investments in infrastructure and transportation," said Councilmember Harris. "This reappointment is a great opportunity to share Chandler's story with members of Congress, the White House and federal agencies as our committee advocates for investments in local communities."

Members of the NLC Committee play a key role in shaping policy positions as advocates who help policymakers in Washington D.C. understand the issues and challenges facing local communities. For more information on NLC's federal advocacy committees, visit: https://www.nlc.org/advocacy/committees.

Councilmember Harris began serving on the Chandler City Council in January 2021. He also serves as the NLC representative on the Institute for Building Technology and Safety Board of Directors and represents Chandler on the Valley Metro Regional Public Transit Authority Board of Directors.
