Boston, MA - Last night, a U.S. District Court issued a preliminary injunction stopping the Trump administration's efforts to censor and erase American history from our national parks.
In response, Outdoors for All Deputy Campaign Director Gerry James released the following statement:
"More than a century ago, Sierra Club helped advocate for the creation of the National Park Service based on the belief that our nation's natural and cultural heritage should be preserved for future generations. Our shared national parks, historical sites, and other public lands tell the complete history of our evolution as a nation, not Donald Trump's whitewashed version. They must remain places where people can learn, reflect, and engage with that story in all its complexity. Friday's ruling reaffirms that responsibility."
