The Boston Police Department Celebrates Copper’s 1st Birthday

It was a big day at Boston Police Headquarters as we celebrated a special milestone -Copper, our first-ever comfort dog, turned 1!

This paw-some event brought together comfort dogs from across the city, along with Copper's breeder, Jocelyn Dame of Dame Dogs Labradors, who generously donated Copper to the BPD, plus many more!

Over the past year, Copper has been a true asset to the Boston Police Department, helping us strengthen our bond with the community. Whether visiting seniors, comforting youth, or simply spreading smiles during tough times, Copper has shown what a big difference one dog can make.
