Embattled Eels star Josh Addo-Carr's career is in limbo but he has the support of a key figure as the club prepares to make a huge call on the winger's future.
Addo-Carr's future at the club remains in the balance after the popular outside back allegedly tested positive for cocaine during a random roadside test in September.

Addo-Carr faced the Eels board on Monday to plead his case to remain at the club, a case which was likely strengthened just hours earlier when an oral fluid 'B' sample from the roadside test returned a negative result.
The Eels are keen to make a decision on Friday.
The 31-year-old's career at the Bulldogs ended in 2024 in similar fashion with the club making the call to sack the flyer after a positive roadside drugs test.
Parramatta took a chance on Addo-Carr, signing him ahead of the 2025 season.
While Addo-Carr's rugby league career is up in the air, Eels teammate Junior Paulo says the winger has had a terrific impact on Parra's playing group.
"I guess I can't comment too much on it because my main focus is being here at the World Cup," Paulo told CODE Sports from Samoa's World Cup camp.
"But Foxxy, you know, he's the Foxx.
"Foxx is like another coach, the energy that he brings is infectious.
"It's infectious on the group. He is just one of those guys that just loves being there to help across the squad, whether it is on the field or off the field too."
Following the roadside positive back in September, Addo-Carr checked into a rehab facility and spent a month there.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Addo-Carr has lost nearly $400,000 in endorsement deals since the false-positive result after existing or potential sponsors including JAC Motors, P & O Cruises, Rexona, Nike, DoorDash, Red Bull and Weighplate cut ties with him.
Addo-Carr has played in 45 games for the Eels, scoring 27 tries.
