Convicted felon Cemal Wade, 43, was arrested Monday by Violent Crimes Division detectives after he fled from a traffic stop with drugs in the car and caused a crash on Clarksville Pike.
Detectives spotted Wade driving a Nissan Maxima and recognized him for having several outstanding drug warrants in Wilson County. The Maxima was disabled, but continued traveling through the intersection of Clarksville Pike at Kings Lane and crashed into two other vehicles.
Wade was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result. Occupants of the two vehicles struck by Wade suffered minor injuries.
Inside the Maxima detectives recovered cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana and hydrocodone.
Upon his release from the hospital, Wade will be charged with evading arrest, aggravated reckless driving, driving on a revoked license and multiple counts of drug possession.
