Five Memphis Teens Arrested By Violent Crimes Division Detectives Thursday

A Violent Crimes Division investigation led to today's arrest of five teenagers from Memphis after they were seen driving a stolen Kia Optima burglarizing vehicles in West Nashville. The teens were taken into custody, with assistance from MNPD Aviation, after entering an apartment on Patricia Drive this morning.

Detectives received a report that occupants of the Optima had burglarized a vehicle on Idaho Avenue this morning. Nothing was taken, but the rear window was damaged in the process.

The teens, Jadarrinn Franklin, 18, Darrion Blakely, 18, Lecedri Brown, 19, Christian Bridges, 19, were all charged with motor vehicle burglary, possession of burglary tools and vehicle theft. All are jailed on $21,000 bonds. A 17-year-old was also charged in Juvenile Court with vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools.

Brown is wanted by Memphis Police Department on an outstanding criminal homicide warrant.

Booking photos are being withheld at this time pending photo lineups. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
