Stolen Vehicle Arrests

(PEORIA, IL) On Sunday, July 27, 2025, at approximately 4:38 a.m., Peoria Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Richard Allen Drive. The vehicle had been previously reported stolen.

As officers approached the vehicle, three juvenile males exited and fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended a 17-year-old male in the area of John Gwynn Avenue and a 15-year-old male on Fourth Street. The third suspect was not located.

The 17-year-old was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Motor Vehicle Theft, Fleeing/Resisting Police, and multiple traffic violations. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The 15-year-old male was released into the custody of a guardian.

This incident remains under investigation.
