Working Fire Box 45-143 - 80-82 Sciarappa Street

On the morning of Thursday, June 12, 2025, a working fire was ordered, box 45-143, for the fire in the 2 1/2 story, wood-frame, multi-residence at 80-82 Sciarappa St (corner of Thorndike) in this congested East Cambridge neighborhood. Arriving with "smoke showing," companies initiated an aggressive attack on the fire, opening up, ventilating, searching for any occupants, and overhauling.


One dog was removed to a safe area & evaluated by Cambridge Animal Control. The dog was fine.

Engines 3, 2, 1 and 5; Ladders 2, 1 and 3; Squads 3, 2 & 4; and Rescue 1 worked at the fire. Somerville Engine 1 and Ladder 1 covered in Cambridge during the fire.

Initial time: 1116 a,m.

All out: 312 p.m.

The cause and orgin was under investigation.

Several residents and firefighters were evaluated for non-life-threatening injures, but all refused transport to a medical facility.
