Growscape Announces Expansion of Middlefield, Ohio Operations

CLEVELAND, Ohio, September 28, 2026 - The HC Companies, Inc., doing business as Growscape, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of horticultural containers, decorative planters, and lawn & garden products. The company, with dual headquarters in Twinsburg, Ohio, and Shelton, Connecticut, announced plans to add 90 new positions at its Middlefield facility, while retaining 386 jobs. The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) approved the project for tax credit assistance during its Ohio Tax Credit Authority meeting today.

In response to significant growth opportunities across key markets and increasing customer demand, Growscape plans to expand its workforce and production capacity and further strengthen its Operations Campus. The creation of new jobs supports the Middlefield plant's move to continuous 24/7 operations in August. In addition, new jobs have been added to support a 750,000-square-foot warehouse operation, which opened in October 2025.
