The City of North Port Parks & Recreation Department is inviting organizations dedicated to child safety, advocacy, and family support to participate as Community Resource Partners during You Are Not Alone: Protecting Our Children, a community conversation focused on child safety and awareness.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd. Participating organizations will have the opportunity to connect with families before the educational sessions begin, share information about their services and answer questions from attendees.

The City welcomes organizations that provide services in areas such as child advocacy and protection, mental and behavioral health, victim advocacy, family and youth support, internet safety, education, counseling, healthcare, mentoring and other programs that promote child safety and family well-being.

"Protecting children requires a community effort," said Kimberly Lencki, Community Partnership & Engagement Manager. "By bringing together organizations that support children and families, we can connect attendees with trusted resources while building awareness and strengthening prevention efforts throughout our community."

Organizations interested in becoming a Community Resource Partner, are encouraged to complete the online form. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
