Adjusting to the first few weeks of classes can definitely be a struggle. Between reuniting with friends, figuring out how to wake up early again, and realizing that one class might be way harder than it looked on paper, there's a lot happening all at once. It's chaotic, messy, and exciting all at the same time. To capture that energy, we've rounded up 10 memes that humorously portray the first month of college. Let's get into it!

1

Mornin'

Mooooorning. It's time for class. A new semester means new beginnings. But waking up at 7:00 AM for class when you've spent a summer of relaxation at home is definitely an important reality check.

Feeling Cute in Your FDOC Outfit

Nothing beats finally wearing an outfit that you've personally curated and have been waiting to wear. Except for watching the fashion show that happens on campus on the first day. Strut your stuff, y'all!

We Don't Want to Do That Tho… (Icebreakers)

The anticipation of walking into a new class is certainly a notable feeling. But icebreakers, at 8:00 AM? And as an upperclassman? Cute, but no thank you.

When the Professor Actually Goes Over Content on the First Day

The name "syllabus week" can be misleading. For some, the first week is a nice transition for the semester to come. For others, it can be a little more hectic than it sounds. All I know is that it's not giving what it's supposed to give. Testing my patience here.

Keeping Track of All of Your Professors' Names

Remember when you accidentally called your teacher Mom? Be sure to make a good impression by calling your professors by their preferred name. Similar to Judge Toler, BU professors don't play.

6

Class Ending Early

Nothing beats reviewing the syllabus and leaving class early because there's nothing else to cover. It's totally the vibe. Let's get sendyyy!

Trying Dining Hall Food for the First Time

Who could ever forget their first time trying the tater tots at West? Or the noodle soup at Marciano's? Because, babe, we're feeling like Trisha Paytas with chicken fingers right now.

Reuniting With Your College Besties

Adrian, describe our friend group now that we're all back on campus with our friends! It's pretty cheerful seeing all of our favorite familiar faces walking on Comm. Ave.

Finding Out the Final Isn't Cumulative

For all of our Terriers that despise test-taking, this sentiment means more than you'd think. Exams aren't always fun, but knowing that you don't have to cram months of content into your brain in the span of a week is definitely a plus!

Giving Up On the Second Day and Wearing Sweatpants

Listen, being a student can be hard. So is planning outfits. But rocking your favorite sweat suit to class is still a great way to look comfy and cute. No doubt about it.
