1. Amazon UK to Introduce "On-Time Delivery Rate" Policy
To reduce delayed deliveries, Amazon will roll out the "On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR)" policy. Starting from September 16, 2025, all sellers using Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) on Amazon.co.uk must maintain a minimum OTDR of 90%. This metric measures the proportion of FBM orders delivered on or before the "estimated delivery date". Failure to meet this standard may result in penalties for sellers, ranging from the removal of individual products to restrictions on listing FBM items.
2. TikTok Shop GMV Rises in Multiple Countries in August
According to data from Shoplus, TikTok Shop's sales volume in multiple countries increased significantly month-on-month in August. Among them, the total sales in the U.S. exceeded $870 million, up 19% month-on-month. The top three sales categories in the U.S.-beauty & personal care, women's clothing & lingerie, and health care-saw sales growth of 18%, 24%, and 13% respectively. In other countries: sales in the UK rose by 3% to $120 million; sales in Indonesia increased by 3% to $790 million; and sales in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico, and Brazil all grew to varying degrees.
3. Shopee Vietnam Launches "Express - Same-Day Delivery" Service
Shopee Vietnam's local stores announced the launch of the "Express - Same-Day Delivery" service. Currently, this service prioritizes coverage of specific areas in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In terms of payment methods, the service supports all payment options, allowing consumers to choose freely. Regarding shipping fees, they are calculated based on the actual packaged weight of the order and the shipping distance, with a relatively flexible and reasonable pricing method.
4. Temu Tops the Country's E-Commerce Rankings
On September 4, it was reported that Temu, the cross-border e-commerce platform owned by Pinduoduo, has performed strongly since entering the Brazilian market in June 2024. Data from Data.ai shows that between July 1 and August 30, 2025, Temu remained at the top of Brazil's e-commerce app download rankings for almost the entire period, outperforming local giants such as Mercado Libre and Shopee. The platform's monthly visits surged from 107 million at the initial launch to 276 million in July, with a market share of 9.9%, surpassing Shopee (8.8%) to become Brazil's second-largest e-commerce platform.
5. Alibaba.com Sees 30% Order Growth in Q1 of FY2026
Alibaba Group's latest financial report shows that in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (April to June 2025), the number of orders on Alibaba.com increased by 30% year-on-year, and its GMV rose by 16.4%, achieving counter-trend growth amid the complex global trade environment. The platform has increased investment in diversified markets such as Europe and the Middle East, among which the French market saw a growth rate of over 100%.
