Zach Nunn Misleads On His Abortion Record Yet Again

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Zach Nunn is once again trying to rewrite history and hide his anti-choice record.

• Nunn claims : "I do not believe in a national abortion ban."

  • Fact Check: Nunn raised his hand in support of banning abortion nationwide with zero exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman.

• Nunn claims: "I voted for exceptions."

  • Fact Check: Nunn voted for a constitutional amendment in the state legislature that could eliminate the right to an abortion in Iowa with no exceptions.

• Nunn claims: "I also recognize that there is a role here for in-vitro fertilization…I also feel very strongly in moving forward legislation that will provide over-the-counter contraception for women."

  • Fact Check: Nunn voted for a bill in the state legislature that could jeopardize Iowa women's access to abortion, birth control, and IVF. In Congress, Nunn has refused to sign onto a bill that would protect the right to IVF or contraception.
