NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 35264
ALASKA BACKCOUNTRY ACCESS, LLC

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: ALASKA BACKCOUNTRY ACCESS, LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35264

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located within the submerged lands at the southern cove of Spencer Lake near the foot of Spencer Glacier, approx. 9.5 miles south of milepost 78 of the Seward Highway.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SW1/4NE1/4 Section 24, Township 7 North, Range 2 East, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Alaska Backcountry Access LLC is requesting a permit for the year-round moorage of a floating dock within the southern cove of Spencer Lake for the purpose of parking jet boats in support of commercial recreation activities. The 10-foot by 24-foot floating dock is secured with four anchors and would include a 2-foot by 8-foot storage box to house boating gear.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 2025
End: April 2030

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: October 28, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written or emailed comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
