TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has finished its high-speed internet network upgrade project in Brooten, Minnesota. The work expands access to advanced broadband infrastructure for more than 400 local homes and businesses. The new fiber network delivers multi-gig internet speeds up to 8 Gigabits, supporting remote work, online learning, telehealth, and growing digital demands across the community.
"Completing this project in Brooten means more families and businesses can fully participate in today's digital economy," said TDS Senior Vice President of External Affairs Drew Petersen. "Reliable, high-capacity broadband is essential for economic growth, education, and many of today's entertainment options and we're proud to deliver multi-gig speeds that will serve the community for years to come."
In addition to the Brooten project, TDS is also upgrading its Danube, Minnesota service footprint. Construction in Danube is expected to be completed later this year, further expanding access to high-speed connectivity in west-central Minnesota.
The company's efforts are part of its ongoing investment in rural and small-town connectivity, ensuring residents and businesses have access to fast, reliable, future-ready internet service. TDS is focused on building scalable fiber infrastructure that meets the long-term needs of the communities it serves.
Residents in Brooten can now order the new, faster fiber connections. All TDS fiber internet products deliver equal upload and download speeds. For qualifying residents, TDS is continuing to offer its low-cost, high-speed product, TDS Connect.
