Call for abstracts: American Chemical Society regional meeting

Boise State's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host the 79th Northwest Regional Meeting for the Snake River Section of the American Chemical Society in summer 2026, from July 28 to July 1.

The organizers are currently seeking abstracts from interested students, staff and faculty posters and oral presentations. The submission deadline for abstracts is April 6, 2026.

Additionally, Boise State undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for free registration if they submit an abstract. This is a unique opportunity for any student interested in chemical research.

The regional meeting will include lectures from leading scientists, including Nobel Laureate M. Stanley Whittingham, the pioneer of the first functional lithium-ion battery, and National Medal of Science recipient Geraldine "Geri" Richmond.
