Nighttime closures on Karcher Road March 18 and 19

CALDWELL - The Idaho Transportation Department will have nighttime closures on March 18 and 19 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night as part of the widening of Karcher Road (State Highway 55) from Farmway Road to Middleton Road.

What drivers should expect:

Tuesday, March 18

• Karcher Road will be closed between Florida Avenue and Lake Avenue.
• Midway Road will also be closed between Karcher Road and Moss Lane.
• Traffic will follow posted detours.

Wednesday, March 19

• Karcher Road will again be closed between Florida Avenue and Lake Avenue.
• Traffic will follow posted detours.

Motorists should check 511.idaho.gov, plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling.

Construction began in December of 2024 to improve safety and mobility. Work is expected to finish in 2028.
