E Avenue & F Avenue bridges under I-380 to reopen Friday

The E Avenue and F Avenue bridges underneath I-380 will reopen to traffic at noon on Friday, April 17.

The bridge will also include signal modifications on the west side that will allow left turns from the I-380 northbound off ramp at 1st Street NW for the first time. This will establish a direct connection from northbound I-380 to the northwest neighborhood, with signal modifications and striping improvements to be completed by City staff.

The opening of the E and F Avenue bridges marks a major milestone in the completion and integration of the City's Flood Control System. This project includes the installation of two roller flood gates and associated underground utility improvements. It also establishes a critical connection between the Quaker Oats floodwall and 1st Avenue, enhancing flood protection in the area.

The nearby pump station remains under construction.
