On December 19 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated via videoconference and delivered a statement at the 51st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Member States.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of the BSEC in promoting dialogue in the region and facilitating the exchange of best sectoral practices, and reaffirmed Armenia's constructive engagement within the framework of the Organization. In this context, Robert Abisoghomonyan noted that Armenia is ready to continue promoting cooperation in its capacity as coordinator of the working groups on customs, tourism, and cultural issues.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia positively assessed the support of the member states for Armenia's proposals on reforming the BSEC's current procedures. The statement also addressed the Organization's achievements over the past six months, including the preparation of the report on the implementation of the Economic Agenda, the adoption of the 2026 budget, and the relaunch of the Project Development Fund.
Touching upon Armenia's agenda aimed at fostering regional cooperation and connectivity, Robert Abisoghomonyan emphasized the importance of unblocking all communications and implementing the "TRIPP" project in the context of regional security and economic prosperity.
