City to hold public meeting on Highlands Parkway traffic calming project June 18

(COLUMBIA, MO) - A traffic study identified vehicle speeds on Highlands Parkway that are higher than desirable. The City of Columbia Public Works department will hold an informal open house meeting regarding a traffic calming project on Highlands Parkway.

The meeting will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, in the gymnasium of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4708 Highlands Parkway. Information and diagrams will be available for public review, and City engineering staff will be present to answer questions.

Project information, including speed study data, is available at BeHeard.CoMo.gov/Highlands-Parkway-traffic-calming and will also be available for review at the meeting. Public comments will be accepted at the meeting and may also be submitted through the project webpage through July 2. Comments will be considered as designs are developed.

Residents, property owners and others interested in the project are encouraged to attend.
