MARION, IL - Representatives Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona), Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis), and State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) are pleased with the participation of seniors again this year at their free Senior Health Fairs. The events brought together healthcare providers and senior service vendors to provide health screenings, valuable information, and prizes for local seniors.

Tuesday was the annual Marion Senior Fair at the HUB Recreation Center and Wednesday was the annual Carbondale Senior Fair at the Civic Center. Both were from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with free refreshments and many health care facilities, organizations, and state agencies providing information useful to seniors in the area.

"I am always excited to meet new people and see many friends at these events who learn about the wide variety of services available to them in the region," commented Rep. Jacobs. "From healthcare and assisted living facilities to veteran's groups and local libraries with senior programs, these senior fairs are great one-stop-shop events to help seniors live healthy and enjoyable lives."
