To celebrate the Year of the Horse, the Center for International Studies and Programs will host a Spring Festival Celebration Thursday, Feb. 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Auditorium.

The free, public event will feature more than 15 activities for the UToledo community to experience and learn about different cultures that celebrate the Spring Festival, including lantern making, lucky bracelet making, name writing, balloon art, bleaching paint fan, traditional cultural games and more. Attendees also may enjoy a free lunch.

Organizations and offices including the Chinese Student and Scholar Association, Chinese American Student Association, Vietnamese Student Association, World Language and Culture Department, Student Recreation Center and UToledo Admissions Office will be participating in the festival and running activity booths.

"We welcome the UToledo campus to join us for this fun annual event," said Xinren Yu, director for the Center for International Studies and Programs. "This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about a major cultural tradition in Asian countries. There will be plenty of prizes for all participants to win and a free hot lunch. We hope to see you all at the event to enjoy this international experience."
