Registration now open for the 19th annual Vanderbilt Postdoc Symposium, faculty judges needed

Registration is open for the 19th annual Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Association Symposium on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Student Life Center, starting at 9 a.m.

This one-day symposium presents a valuable opportunity for postdoctoral researchers to engage in professional networking, participate in enlightening scientific discussions, and learn about the innovative research being conducted by their peers.

Symposium Highlights include:

  • Welcome remarksfrom C. André Christie-Mizell, vice provost for graduate education, dean of the Graduate School, and director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
  • Poster and lightning talk presentations, providing a platform for postdocs to share their research
  • A keynote addressduring lunch delivered by Matthew Johnson-Roberson, dean of the newly established College of Connected Computing
  • A campus resource fair, designed to inform attendees about valuable resources and services available at Vanderbilt
  • Networking opportunitiesand an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding research presented throughout the day

Call for Faculty Judges

We invite faculty members from all disciplines to participate as judges for the poster presentations. Your expertise and insights are crucial in helping to recognize and award outstanding research. If you are interested in serving as a judge, please complete this formor contact the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.

Abstract Submission

Postdocs interested in presenting research through a poster or lightning talk are encouraged to submit their abstracts via the registration form by Sunday, Aug. 24. Please note that general registration will close on Friday, Sept. 19. Options for late-breaking posters will be available until that date; however, abstracts submitted late will not be published in the program. They will only be eligible for the People's Choice award.
