Round-the-clock railway work is scheduled for this weekend
Round-the-clock construction is scheduled this weekend as SANDAG proceeds with its Del Mar Bluffs Stabilization Project.
During the "Absolute Work Window," passenger and freight train service will be suspended between Oceanside and downtown San Diego to allow for nonstop construction.
Starting tonight, residents near the railway could hear noise from construction equipment and see b right lights illuminating work areas.
Parking restrictions and access to bluff trails may be limited.
The railway closure runs from 10 p.m. Sept. 19 through 5 a.m. Sept. 22.
The Del Mar Bluffs Stabilization Project 5is expected to continue through mid-2027.
