Netflix has announced today the start of production for its new film, El acercamiento de la mujer cactus y el hombre globo , starring Macarena García and Carlos Cuevas , based on the debut novel by David Martínez Álvarez, Rayden , published by Suma de Letras (Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial).

Sáhara ( Macarena García ) is a brilliant and ironic florist who has turned cynicism into her shield against a kind of love she believes is as fleeting as a bouquet of flowers. Ciro ( Carlos Cuevas ), a bicycle courier, lives constantly on the move, convinced that loving someone only leads to getting hurt. A fiery encounter on the streets of Madrid causes them to collide, and the city seems determined to keep bringing them back together. Between high-speed deliveries, misunderstandings, and a borrowed identity that Ciro adopts almost by accident, they both discover that even those who have learned to live on the defensive can suddenly find themselves facing the possibility of finally stopping running away.

The film stars Macarena García ( Blancanieves , La Llamada ) as Sáhara and Carlos Cuevas ( Smiley , Merlí ) as Cisco. The cast also includes Eva Llorach ( Quién te cantará, El cuerpo en llamas ), Santiago Korovsky ( División Palermo ), or Silma López ( Valeria ), among others.
