The Executive Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) has approved the Cybersecurity Strategy 2025-2028, which aligns with the objectives of CBK's Strategic Plan to establish a regulatory and supervisory framework that addresses cyber risks and strengthens the institution's operational capacities.
This Strategy outlines the vision, objectives, and concrete measures for protecting CBK's infrastructure, systems, and information from cyber threats.
The Strategy is based on an integrated approach that includes capacity building, cyber risk management, incident response, and continuous improvement of control mechanisms.
Furthermore, this Strategy lays the foundation for a sustainable structure of information and cybersecurity, ensuring effective protection and compliance with the most advanced international standards in this field. It also includes a three-year action plan with clear measures for its implementation.
The development of the strategy took into account the assessments and recommendations from the consultation process with the World Bank, as well as other professional consultations.
The CBK expresses its gratitude to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank for their continued support in strengthening institutional capacities and advancing the regulatory and supervisory framework, contributing to institutional development and financial stability.
