The Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) is responsible for sending notices that are issued by the Court to case participants who are not registered CM/ECF users. Due to a cybersecurity incident, all access to BNC systems and the related bankruptcy noticing process is unavailable. This means that the Court cannot send notices through BNC to case participants who are not registered CM/ECF users. The disruption does not affect the electronic delivery of Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) to registered CM/ECF users.
As reported, the BNC is still experiencing a nationwide service disruption. As a result, the delivery of electronic and paper notices has been interrupted, and the BNC is unable to provide noticing services to the courts at this time. Additionally, the following websites are unavailable: bnc.uscourts.gov; bankruptcynotices.uscourts.gov; notices.uscourts.gov; and the National Creditor Registration Service website that supports CM/ECF access to address labels.
Until BNC resolves the matter, service of notices and orders from the Court as well as the service of 341 Notices will be delayed. During this disruption, attorneys may want to consider providing direct, temporary notice to parties regarding any urgent matters to ensure timely communication. Additionally, attorneys should communicate with their clients as best able during this interruption. Case dockets remain an accurate source of case activity.
Please refer to our website for more information about the disruption, suggestions on how to stay informed of case filings during the disruption, how to access alternative creditor lists, and for any further updates.
