State Farm Bureaus Honored for Program Excellence and Membership Achievement

The American Farm Bureau Federation honored state Farm Bureaus for outstanding 2025 achievements in innovative member programs and overall excellence during its 107th Convention.

Delaware, Iowa, Montana, North Carolina, Utah and Virginia Farm Bureaus earned the Pinnacle Award, the highest honor for overall excellence in their membership group.

The following state Farm Bureaus earned New Horizon Awards, which honor the most innovative new state Farm Bureau programs:

  • Delaware, for their partnership with the Delaware Department of Agriculture to create the Educating through Specialty Crop Crates program, which encourages healthy eating and agricultural awareness using interactive classroom materials.
  • Michigan, for their "Connecting Communities" initiative, which expands community partnerships and elevates agriculture's visibility across the state.
  • Minnesota, for their partnership with a medical school to create a program that prepares students to address rural health challenges and work confidently with non-urban communities.
  • New York, for strategically reimagining StaCon, their state annual convention, to be a dynamic hub for leadership development and grassroots member engagement.
  • South Carolina, for their Palmetto Threaded program, which transforms local cotton into American-made apparel while paying farmers a premium price.
  • Texas, for their Early Ag Teacher Professional Development program, which helps agricultural science teachers with five or fewer years of experience integrate production agriculture into their lessons.

The Awards of Excellence recognize state Farm Bureaus that demonstrated outstanding achievements in four program areas: Advocacy, Coalitions & Partnerships, Engagement & Outreach and Leadership & Business Development.

The following state Farm Bureaus were recognized in all four categories:

Nevada Farm Bureau was recognized in three program areas: Advocacy, Coalitions & Partnerships and Engagement and Outreach.

Wyoming Farm Bureau was also recognized in three program areas: Coalitions & Partnerships, Engagement & Outreach and Leadership & Business Development.

New Mexico Farm & Livestock Bureau was recognized in two program areas: Coalitions & Partnerships and Engagement & Outreach.
