Inmate Death Notification – Cadence Allen

ELOY (December 12, 2024) - Inmate Cadence Allen, 19, ADCRR #368347, died on December 12, 2024 at Chandler Regional Media Center, following an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.

Prison staff discovered Allen unresponsive in his housing unit on December 1, 2024, and conducted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived onsite. Responding paramedics transported Allen to Chandler Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. While at Chandler Regional Medical Center, Allen was pronounced deceased on December 12, 2024.

Inmate Allen was admitted to ADCRR custody in 2024 after being sentenced out of Maricopa County for Second-Degree Murder.

His assigned housing location was La Palma Correctional Center.

All inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner's office.
