Cardin Condemns Attacks on Reproductive Freedoms

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Ben Cardin submitted a statement to the official Congressional Record condemning legislation and actions by the Supreme Court of the United States that block access to reproductive treatments.

"Throughout my time in Congress, I have worked to dismantle barriers to women's health. The right to choose
whether to have a child is fundamental, and it is a decision that should only be made by women in consultation with their healthcare provider, free of government interference. It is time to elevate the voices that truly know how much is at stake in the fight for reproductive freedoms," said Senator Cardin.
