A Portion of Exploration Avenue in Lakeland is Closing on Aug. 18 for Underground Sewer Utility Construction Work

Bartow, Fla. (Aug. 17, 2026) - A portion of Exploration Avenue in Lakeland will close at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18 for underground sewer utility construction work.
Exploration Avenue will be closed approximately 530 feet north of the Exploration Avenue and Innovation Drive intersection until underground sewer utility construction work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The closure is part of a Grade-A-Way project.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
