2025 Pontiac Art Cars Application

In celebration of Route 66's 100 Year anniversary, the city of Pontiac invites local artists to submit qualifications for a public art project featuring the art cars. This exciting project will tie together Pontiac's love of the historic Mother Road and a community rich in artistic talent, with the art cars to be prominently displayed in public spaces beginning in 2025. The city is looking to decorate a minimum of five art cars through this call for entry; with more to be selected at a later date. Artists will be selected based on their submitted work, and those chosen will receive a stipend of up to $250.00 to cover material costs. The fiberglass art cars come in 5 different styles and weigh approximately 100 pounds. Dimensions vary for each style and are noted beside each image. Artists should aim to create dynamic, engaging artwork. There is no strict requirement to follow a specific theme.

Art Car Call for Entries 2025

Entry applications must be submitted by June 30th, 2025, and artist selections will be made by July 7th, 2025. Completed work will be due by July 31st, 2025.
