Congressman Comer Announces 2025 Congressional Art Competition Winners

WASHINGTON-Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) proudly announces Lily Hughes of Christian County High School as the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Kentucky's 1^st Congressional District. Her drawing, titled "Repeller Man," will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol alongside other artists from across the United States.

"Each year, I'm inspired by the creativity and talent of high school artists from across Kentucky's 1st Congressional District. This year was no exception-my office received outstanding submissions that truly showcased the artistic excellence of our local students. I want to extend my congratulations to Lily, Catherine, Bryna, and Abigail for all being selected as this year's winners. I'm proud to display their exceptional work in the U.S. Capitol and in my offices in Washington, Tompkinsville, and Danville," said Congressman Comer.

Catherine Poland, a student at Christian County High School, earned second place with her piece titled "To the Finish Line." Her artwork will be prominently displayed in Congressman Comer's Washington, D.C. office.

Bryna Cain of Monroe County High School and Abigail Sears of Danville High School both earned third place for their pieces titled "A Nation on His Shoulder" and "Little Bird," respectively. Their impressive artwork will be displayed in Congressman Comer's offices in Tompkinsville and Danville.
