State Police make arrest following theft of more than $50,000

On December 19, 2024, State Police of Latham, with the assistance of the Capital Region Crime Analysis Center (CRCAC), arrested Steven M. Price, 56, of New York, NY, for Grand Larceny in the second degree and Identity Theft in the first degree.

On September 17, 2024, at about 9:00 p.m., Troopers received a complaint from an Albany County resident reporting the theft from a bank account. The investigation determined Price allegedly withdrew more than $50,000 from the victim's bank account without permission or authorization during numerous transactions in September 2023.

Price was arrested in New York, NY, and transported to SP Latham for processing. He was arraigned at the Guilderland Town Court and was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
