Entrance to Westview Drive in Versailles closing for culvert replacement

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo . - To help address flooding issues, t he entrance to Westview Drive in Versailles is set to close for two weeks to replace the current culvert with a larger one .

Construction crews, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, anticipate beginning installation of a larger culvert at the entrance with Missouri Route 5 on T hursday , Jan. 2 9 , 2026 , at 8 :15 a.m . All businesses will remain accessible.

All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $5,041,329.32 contract to S & A Equipment & Builders, LLC for the project that includes install ing a roundabout at the junction of Route 5 and Route 52, expand ing Route 52 to three lanes (providing one lane of travel in each direction with a shared center turn lane), and replac ing existing culverts with larger structures to address flooding concerns. The project is expected to be complete d in early 2026 .
