Sharing is caring!
Inglewood, CA - Centinela Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, has been recognized among the nation's leading hospitals for social responsibility on the 2026 Lown Hospitals Index, earning an "A" Grade in Social Responsibility and Patient Safety and additional "A" Grades in Health Equity, Community Benefit and Inclusivity. The recognition highlights Centinela's dedication to exceptional patient care, equitable access to healthcare services and meaningful investment in the communities it serves.
"We are honored to receive such high recognition by the Lown Institute for our efforts in patient care. It is a testament to our dedication to providing the highest quality, compassionate care to our community and be a pillar of health for the betterment of all those we serve," said Mohammad Naser, Chief Executive Officer.
The Lown Hospitals Index is the only national ranking that examines how equitably care is delivered, how well hospitals invest in their communities, and whether patients receive high-value care that avoids unnecessary procedures, in addition to clinical measures. More than 50 metrics contribute to a hospital's overall score.
"The best hospitals aren't just clinically excellent, they're deeply committed to the communities they serve and work hard to ensure all patients get the care they need," said Vikas Saini, MD, president of the Lown Institute. "High performance on the Lown Index shows that hospitals are doing more of what matters to patients and communities."
The Lown Institute recognition further underscores Centinela Hospital Medical Center's commitment to excellence in patient care and community service. The hospital has also been recognized by Healthgrades and US News & World Report for achievements in quality, patient safety, clinical outcomes and workplace excellence. Together, these honors demonstrate Centinela's dedication to providing exceptional care and advancing the health of the communities it serves.
