Ministry of Defence has issued a Registration of Interest via GETS for companies, including New Zealand businesses, that might be able to provide a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system for cyber security.
Current cyber security systems need continuous investment to ensure the NZDF can defend and maintain multiple networks from new and emerging threats when deployed.
The SIEM system is part of the broader Cyber Security and Support Capability Programme which will enhance the NZDF's defensive cyber operations capability to actively protect and defend networks, platforms and systems both at home and when deployed.
This is a system which collects, analyses and correlates cyber security events and data from various sources (i.e. from planes to databases) to speed up threat detection, support incident management and response to threats.
The Registration of Interest (ROI) process does not commit the Crown to any expenditure.
