Chief Managing Partner Heejun Choi Appointed as Tax Legal Counsel to the Jungbu Regional Tax Office

Dentons Lee's Chief Managing Partner, Heejun Choi, has been appointed as Tax Legal Counsel to the Jungbu Regional Tax Office for a two-year term, from November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2027.

The Jungbu Regional Tax Office is responsible for a wide range of tax administration duties, including the assessment and collection of national taxes, management of tax delinquencies, tax audits, administrative appeals, and tax litigation. As an institution that plays a key role in ensuring fair and transparent tax administration, it requires a high level of legal expertise.

Drawing on his extensive experience in handling a variety of tax litigation and advisory matters, Mr. Choi will provide legal advice and support across the full spectrum of the Tax Office's operations. Known for his ability to respond swiftly to changes in complex tax legislation and to develop persuasive legal arguments, he will, in his capacity as Tax Legal Counsel, contribute to enhancing the transparency and effectiveness of Korea's tax administration while safeguarding taxpayers' rights and promoting tax justice.
