Davidsmeyer hosting Electronic Recycling event in Griggsville on Saturday, Oct. 25

State Representative C.D Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville), along with CJD E-Cycling, is hosting a free 'Electronic Recycling Made Easy' event this Saturday in Griggsville.

"Our e-recycling drive is a great opportunity for area residents to get rid of old electronics and TVs in a safe and environmentally friendly way," Rep. Davidsmeyer said. "I want to thank CJD E-Cycling for teaming up with us for this free e-waste drive and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Western Illinois Fairgrounds on Saturday morning."

ELECTRONIC RECYCLING MADE EASY

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25

9 A.M. TO 12 P.M.

Recycle anything with a cord & anything metal!

Bring us your TVs, monitors, dehumidifiers, servers, switches, PC towers, printers, and other technical equipment. Landline phones, cable boxes, cell phones, wireless modems, servers, audio and video equipment, holiday lights, home electronics, additional telecommunication items, and lead acid batteries. CRT, Console, Projection, Plasma, and Flat Screen TVs and computer monitors.

The following items will NOT be accepted:

Radioactive materials, Alkaline batteries, Light bulbs, Household smoke detectors, Hazardous materials (oil/antifreeze/paint), Non-electronics (tires/wood/asbestos/office waste/furniture/fiberglass/insulation/roofing/dirt), Flammable materials, Other hazardous materials (pesticides/oil filters/air bags/lead/mercury switches/fluorescent lights), Explosives (firearms/ammunition/shells), DVDs and CDs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes.
