New Brunswick Marks Earth Day with Cleanups, Education

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (April 27, 2025) - This past Tuesday, New Brunswick marked Earth Day in many ways.

At Livingston Elementary School, an estimated 400 students learned about the importance of not littering from Vaudeville performers known as the Grand Falloons. Meanwhile, the New Brunswick Division of Clean Communities led two successful litter cleanups.

Johnson & Johnson volunteers participated in the morning, followed by the 3rd-5th grade Student Voice Committee of A.C. Redshaw Elementary in the afternoon.

Redshaw students, who collected litter for the second year running and are already committed for next April, helped contribute to the 175 pounds of trash and 90 pounds of recycling gathered.

New Brunswick leaders hope all these volunteer efforts inspire an everyday commitment to environmental care.
