Litigation
McDonald v. FEC (Case No. 25-153) On July 9, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued a Memorandum Opinion and Order and Final Judgment granting the Commission's Motion to Dismiss for lack of jurisdiction and dismissing the case without prejudice.
Outreach
On July 8, Chair Shana M. Broussard discussed campaign finance disclosure rules and the role of the Commission with a delegation from Switzerland visiting the United States as part of the State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).
Public Disclosure
This week, the Office of the Inspector General made public a Performance Audit Report of the FEC's Security Patches And Vulnerabilities Management Programs for the Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 2024.

This publication identifies the federal and state agencies responsible for the disclosure of campaign finances, lobbying, personal finances, public financing, candidates on the ballot, election results, spending on state initiatives, and other financial filings.
The Presidential Election Campaign Fund Tax Checkoff Chart provides information on balance of the Fund, monthly deposits into the Fund reported by the Department of the Treasury, payments from the Fund as certified by the FEC, and participation rates of taxpayers as reported by the Internal Revenue Service.
