Kansas City Futures Youth Commission Reschedules Youth Summit

Kansas City Youth Urged to Voice Their Opinions and Collaborate with Community Leaders at Summit

Our Voice, Our City, Our Future


For immediate release: Thursday, January 22, 2026

Due to forecasted inclement weather, the Kansas City Futures Youth Commission has rescheduled the upcoming Youth Summit. The safety and well-being of youth participants, presenters, vendors, and partners remain the top priority.

We appreciate the community's understanding and flexibility. Additional details-including an updated agenda and logistics-will be provided in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the City's event calendar for updates on the rescheduled youth summit.

The Summit will now take place on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Who: KC Futures, Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA), and FocusKC.

What: Expect youth discussions about what's happening in our city, providing opportunities to collaborate with community leaders to make real changes. The Youth Commission's focus areas this year are Youth-Friendly Spaces, Violence, Mental Health and Substance Abuse, and Quality Education.

Theme: Our Voice, Our City, Our Future Date

Where: KC Convention Center, 301 W 13th St #100, Kansas City, MO 64105
