Earlier this month, Mission Viejo Animal Services (MVAS) successfully rescued seven puppies from a shelter in Coachella Valley through Dedicated Animal Welfare Group's (DAWG) special rescue program - "A Mission For Home."
"A Mission for Home" involves handpicking pets from overcrowded shelters and bringing them here to make them available for adoption locally. Funded exclusively through the nonprofit DAWG, this program is a win-win for the animals and shelters alike.
After the puppies began displaying symptoms of the highly contagious "kennel cough," MVAS transported them to three different veterinary offices and had them stay overnight at Animal Urgent Care for continuous monitoring.
MVAS is happy to report that the puppies are back at the shelter and doing much better but are still receiving ongoing treatment funded exclusively by DAWG.
As DAWG continues to fund the support of these precious puppies, MVAS is seeking monetary donations to help DAWG pay for their treatment.
